All of the things I need and a few of the things I want!

This really turned into quite the lovely week for me, it must have been a tender mercy of the Lord for this first week alone with the kids. The kids were quite delightful!

I really enjoyed cuddling with Levi (though I didn't enjoy packing away already the small size sleepers that he has grown out of).

I enjoyed hearing all the new things that Paul was saying...things I didn't expect to be hearing him say at this age, like: "Ada's scriptures", and "More milk, please!" and "I want the ball". He really seems to be enjoying balls (trying to put a volleyball into a little play kitchen cupboard), babies (putting the pacifier into Levi's eyes or into his own mouth), and pizza! He is really fun to watch and to listen to. He loves to play outside. I noticed that I have been treating him like he is older since he is talking and responding like he is older. Randy reminded me to not encourage him to grow up too fast...I don't want him to either, but when is it that you start making them say "Please" and "Sorry"?! In this picture he is eating another of his favorites...soybeans!

I enjoyed Mary Joy's invitation to lay down by her and her whispers telling me that she loved me and what a great Mommy I am! :) She was so happy this morning that it was Sunday so that she could dress up pretty. Here is a picture of the doll she needed to go to sleep happy last night. As you can see, it is [pretty]!? (Make-up done by Ada...I'll have to get a picture of the little pink and white poodle that now has bright pink glasses to match!)

I enjoyed watching the girls get all excited for the bunk bed and matching dressers that we put into their room this weekend. Here is a picture of the kids enjoying the process. Ada was pleased to get the top bunk bed and couldn't wait to put her clothes in the dresser this morning...reserving the small top drawer for her dresses (because it was the prettiest drawer...and therefore must have needed something pretty inside, even if I would have preferred that we left them hanging in the closet!

I enjoyed watching Peter pile his stacks of books around. He had a set three high on top of his desk and that doesn't include the three books in his desk he was reading for school and the one he just completed! I don't know how he manages to keep all those stories straight in his mind!

I enjoyed having Randy around in the evenings more often this week and being out myself a little. I had the HOA meeting that got a little emotional ...and gave me just the opportunity to volunteer to do something other than just show up at the monthly meeting. It was good to see others doing the same thing...and I've enjoyed trying to get a committee together, work with someone else to start up a community website, and reminding myself the building rules, etc.

I REALLY enjoyed the free date that Randy and I had on Friday! The neighbors gave us a coupon for dinner and babysitting. We combined that with the stake's adult dance and had ourselves a lovely evening!

I was surprised but enjoyed being asked to be the compassionate service leader in the Relief Society...nothing like going out and serving others to keep me to busy to sit around and wait for someone to call and offer their services to me! :)
